I called our granddog, Miss Delta, as she was a Southern lady brought up from Florida to Tennessee by the Greys Matters group at the age of 3. Dr Brooke, our daughter, adopted her while in veterinary school. Delta was her best friend and confidante.

Delta preferred lounging on her overstuffed fleece covered dog beds when not tossing around a stuffed animal. She still loved the feel of sand under her feet and would race in circles around us when she visited the beach. Delta never knew a stranger. When she was diagnosed with lymphoma, my cat would keep her company during naps.

We miss her, especially her smile, her nose nudges, and her unconditional love.
