2 Week Update

This sweet boy is starting to really show us his personality. In the evenings he likes to go to the toy box and pick out a toy to play with for the night. He really likes to play with the toys by himself without involvement from any other dog or human. A self sufficient boy. He also has found that he loves to roach on the couch. And at the park this weekend he made good friends with a little boy (probably around 6 years old) and they had a great time running around together, so cute!

Evening Snuggles

Every evening when both of his Foster Moms are home for the night, Ryder finds himself a spot in one of our laps and settles in for some snuggle time.

Another evening snuggle pic :)

Hi :)

Hi Foster Mom! :) Ryder is such a gentle boy, he loves to lay his head in our hands and get some face pets/rubs.

Best Buds!

Ryder’s foster home has a giant bean bag that serves as a bed for the hounds. Once Ryder discovered this was for him to lay in, he rarely leaves it. Since both of the boys love it and they have been getting along so well, they decided they would share it for a while and nap together. How sweet!

Hugs, Hugs, Hugs!

Ryder is settling into his foster home well and has become best buddies with host hound Oslo (Watering Falls)! He walks great on a leash and loves to go for a run with his new friends! He spends his days snoozing on the couch and loves it so much we have to bribe him with treats to go potty! The favorite part of our day is feeling the wet nose poke our back for hugs while we are working ! This big boy loves to give hugs!

24-Hour Foster Update

Over the past 24 hours Ryder has discovered all of the various beds through out the house and he has definitely chosen his favorites. In this picture you’ll see him relaxing on our giant bean bag that serves as a dog bed, which has become his favorite lounging spot. **if you look at the large spot behind his shoulder on his left side (visible in this photo) it looks like a heart!!** So far he is getting along great with both of the resident dogs and he both ignores the cat and avoids him at all cost. For example, if the resident kitty walks too close to Ryder, Ryder will get up and move away from him. We also took a trip to see the other grey hounds that live close by and Ryder loved hanging out with more dudes that look like him!! Ryder is settling in well and adjusting very well to the schedule of his foster family!

Meet Ryder!!

This is Yolo Ryder (we are calling him Ryder)! Ryder is a Black and white male, 3 years 7 months old, weighing about 76 lbs coming off the track. This sweet boy will be fostered in a home with another male greyhound (3.5 years old), a female pitbull-husky mix (3.5 years old), and a cat.
