Tuesday Play Day - outside edition

Hop loves any kind of squeaky toy. She especially loves the Kong Wubba.

We call this her glamour shot.

Total Bed Fail

Little girl seems to not mind sleeping on the hard floor.

Thursday Play Day

Hoppy sure does love toys. Homes that abhor dog toys strewn about need not apply:)

Hoppy’s little sleep spot

This is Hoppy’s little sleep spot, tucked in beside her foster moms bed. She is gated in with a portable dog gate to keep her from wandering around the bedroom at night. It took about three nights for her to get this is where we go to sleep. Puppies need lots of sleep to support their growth, and to stay rested up for the next big playtime. She now sleeps through the night, without incidence. Not there there was ever any real problems other than some whining and difficulty settling. This is totally normal for all foster dogs, and we are confident that once she learns the nighttime routine at her forever home, she will be good as gold.

Just Chillin’

Hopper has spent the morning playing and exploring the back yard, and now she is just chillin a bit before round 2 of more fresh air and sunshine. She loves being outdoors and will always love to be outside/take a nap/repeat.

In for the landing

Hopper has settled in and is making herself at home. She requires a non squishy or fluffy dog bed, as it is easier for her to get up and down on a more basic bed. A thin crate pad is perfect for her. She slept through the night in our BR, and is continuing to learn the ropes in her new foster home.

Off to new pastures

We picked up Hopper today to begin fostering her, as she needs to be in a home with few to no stairs, both inside and out. She did great on her car ride to our house, settling in to a quiet little ball in the back of the SUV for the entire 45 minute ride. She needs help in and out of cars but she is so petite that it is almost like lifting a feather.

Hopper (and her amazing ears) is making herself at home with the resident pack. Everyone is getting along well so far, though she is a little shy with our dogs. I am confident that this is temporary.

I’m so cute!

More about me:

I’m really special - my foster mom tells me this every day. I learn really fast, especially when treats are involved. I’ll never be good at stairs because I will always have some trouble knowing where my feet are, but I’m learning to use a ramp. I can run and play just fine, but my forever home needs to have very few stairs. I’m quickly becoming a Velcro puppy - people are SO cozy! Wanna meet me? I wanna meet YOU!

I love my toys!

Wanna play?

I’m ready to play! Or get hugs - I’m cool with either! My foster mom says I’m a good girl, just a bit bouncy. I love riding in the car, sprinting around the back yard & playing with my friend the beagle puppy. I try to get the resident cats to play, but they aren’t interested! Do you want to play?

I love my toys!

Hopper loves her toys! She fell asleep on one today! Since she came off the farm, she’s learned so many things - not to go potty in the house, to sleep quietly in her crate, and most important, that people are always going to give her cozy ear rubs! She’s a WILD puppy, but SO sweet!
