Hello? Is My Forever Family Out There?

Hey Everybody! Curlin here!

Well, I'm still waiting on someone to love me enough to give me a forever home! I'm a really sweet girl. I love people, especially children. I'm pretty workable on small dogs and cats, too.

I am always learning something in my foster home. They have a Ring doorbell. I've learned when their smart phone chimes with a certain sound, there's someone at the front door. So, when I hear it, I jump up and run to the gate that's in the front hall! I'm always hoping to meet someone new.

In the next picture, I look a little scary, but it's just me running zoomies in the back yard. I love to play, and it's easy for my foster Dad to get me to run around.

I'm really worth taking a look at. I'm well behaved, and I love people. I'm good on a leash. I love to get neck and ear scratches, and I'll give you my best sweet eyes when you do that!

I'm Still Here!

Hey everybody! Curlin here!

I'm still available for adoption, folks. Sorry I haven't blogged for a while, but foster Dad was out of town and foster Mom was sick. I'm not allowed to use the computer unsupervised.

I have several beds to choose from. Like a lot of greyhounds, I frequently have what's called "bed fail". The picture below shows a big one!

I love meet and greets! I get to meet a lot of nice people and a lot of other greyhounds. What could be better!!

I've learned the house rules here quite well. I hardly ever hear "Curlin, NO!" any more. I'm still curious, but I'm learning to be a little less forceful with my curiousity.

I am a cute girl, if I say so myself. I'm also very sweet. I love little kids!! Like most retired greyhounds, I spend most of my day sleeping. But I do go to my foster parents for attention quite regularly because they give good scratches. I love to ride in the car, too!

If you want a great companion, then I'm your girl!!

Did you get to meet me??

Hey everybody! Curlin here!

Well, I went to the meat and greet Saturday. I was disappointed to find that there was no meat. But, I did get to meet a LOT of nice people and a lot of nice greyhound friends!!

I hope that you got to meet me!

After the meet and greet, I went home and crashed. Being adorable is very tiring!

Foster Mom and Dad said that I'm doing very well. I am very chilled in the house. I eat and sleep in my crate. I go into the crate if they have to leave for a while. When they get home, I don't make a sound ... I just patiently wait for them to let me out. I'm a very good girl!

I am very nosy and curious. I like to see what the humans are up to, especially if they go into the magic food room (they call it a "kitchen").

I'm still working on not putting my paws up on the counter. I know that it's wrong, and I get them right down when they say "No!". I'm just curious about what's up there.

If you are looking for a loving, chilled companion, then I'm your girl!!

Will There Really Be MEAT There?

Hey Everybody! Curlin here!

Foster dad said that we are going to a Meat and Greet tomorrow. Really? MEAT?!? I love food!

He told me that I will get to meet people and some other greyhounds. I am very excited because I love people and greyhounds!! I will be at 100 Oaks!!

I am a very chilled girl around the house. I love my kennel and will go there willingly to eat or to go to bed. When my humans are gone, I chill there, and I'm not in a hurry to get up when they get home.

I can get active, though! I love to run around in the back yard. I haven't been able to do that much this week because of the rain, though.

I love toys! I go and pick out toys from the toy basket all of the time. I have a large collection in the den!

I'm good on a leash, too.

Foster mom said that I'm a "velcro hound", whatever that means. I really want to know what's going on, so I follow my humans when they go to another room.

So, come out and bring some MEAT to 100 Oaks tomorrow!! I want to get to know you!!

Did You Miss Me?

Hey Everybody! It's me, Curlin!

Did you miss me yesterday? I was supposed to go to the 100 Oaks Meet and Greet, but I got called to go on a home visit. Sadly, I was not chosen. But I'm not sad! I'm happy for my buddy Finn who got his forever home.

I LOVE to be outdoors, and I like to play. I like to run with other greyhounds (me and resident hound Fitzy do a LOT of running). But, I also don't mind playing with humans!

If you want a fun girl, who will love you right away, and will be your best friend, then give me a chance!!

Retirement is GREAT!!

This is Curlin's foster Dad. Curlin is napping so I'm posting for her. She has made great progress in the 4 days we've had her. The first couple of days, she explored and re-explored every nook and cranny of the house. Then, she realized that she can sleep!

Curlin is an outgoing, confident girl. She loves attention. She frequently follows one of us if we go to another room ... unless she's really sleeping soundly.

She loves going outside, and occasionally does a really crazy zoomie run around the yard.

She loves people and wants to meet everyone. She is currently a little too exuberant when meeting children, so we hold on to her until she gets a chance to meet them and sniff. But she is great with the children.

She roaches when she sleeps quite often!

She plans to be at the 100 Oaks meet and greet this Saturday, so come out and meet this friendly girl!!

Curlin's Here Nashville!

Hey everybody! Curlin here!

In case you didn't know it, I just RETIRED! I got a nice ride to Nashville, got checked by a vet, and then whisked off to a foster home.

You can see that I met a little human. She and I hit it off, and I just loved being around her. My foster parents say that I'm good with kids (I thought kids were goats??).

I explored the new home, and then got a good nap. In the next picture, you can see how comfortable I got!

So far, I've been pretty good. I've had a few corrections for trying to see what was on a table and a counter. But I do listen when I'm told "NO!".

I like the resident greyhound, but she's not too sure about me. Mostly because she's jealous! But we are becoming friends out in the yard where we can chase each other!

Remember to look at the schedule of upcoming events on the GPANashville.org home page ... you just might see me making an appearance!!
