You're a winner, baby!

Helper may have only run one professional race, but he's a champion in our book. Check out all of the things he is winning at since coming to stay with us:

1. Helper is an expert sleeper. He lays down when lights go out at night and stays in his bed until the rest of the pack gets up for morning potty and breakfast

2. Helper tackled the stairs without any suggestion and went both up and down without any fear or hesitation all on his own

3. Helper is the most polite boy, even when foster mom is asking him to take his medicine. He has never had any issue taking pills or liquids when it's time

4. Helper goes potty outside when asked and keeps his crate clean and dry when he's home alone.

Because he's so sweet, Helper got his first chew treat today and definitely enjoyed it. He ate it slowly, then gave everyone a big thank you sniff before heading off to his first nap of the day.

Easy Like Saturday Morning

Helper has been such a sweet boy since he got to our house--he even helped clean this morning! (See him inspecting the carpet after it was vacuumed??)

He seems comfortable lounging with his foster brother, and has done an amazing job letting us know when he needs to go outside. Although he is playful at times, we are convinced that Helper's favorite activity is using humans as a headrest.

Santa's Little Helper?

Helper arrived at our house last night super curious. He is a shy boy but very sweet and patient. He circled the house a lot trying to settle in and shyly asked for belly rubs when he got up the nerve, but by the end of the night, he was sniffing all of the human faces and relaxing with the pack in the living room.

We discovered Helper's derp tongue and decided his personality is A LOT like Santa's Little Helper from The Simpsons. We love it and are excited to get to know him a little better!
