Sunday, November 25

I’m chillin’ on a Sunday morning! I’ve learned lots of things this week—I can stay in my crate most of the night without complaining, I don’t try to dash out of my crate when the door is opened, I can wait to eat my food, I can wait at an open door until I hear OK to go outside, I can do lots of things! I’m a sweet boy! Also, I practiced going up and down stairs! I hadn’t done it since my bath, so I wasn’t sure I wanted to do it, but then Daisy showed me the way and I did it! But the next time I wasn’t so sure, and I didn’t want to do and I was bucking at the end of my leash, ‘cause I REALLY didn’t want to do it. But then, you know what? Sometimes you get TREATS when you go up stairs, so it’s ok now. AND, there was a cat sitting at the top of the stairs and I just walked by and barely pricked my ears up, ‘cause, you know, I had JUST walked up stairs, and I was pretty happy about that about that, ‘cause, you know, TREATS!

Wednesday November 21

I’m ashamed to say that I chased one of the resident cats again today. Daisy says I should be more chill around the cats like she is

Tuesday November 20

I am interested in everything that goes on around me. I did pretty well in my crate last night, but you know, when it’s 5:30 everyone should be up. I like being near my people at all times, so it is important to follow them about everywhere they go. I do not like being in my crate so I will complain about that. My foster mom tried to teach me to sit but I’m not ready to do that yet.

Monday November 19

Look at my sweet face! My friend Daisy just had to get in the picture too, although I’m much taller. I did much better in my crate last night and didn’t make any noise until at least 5:30. They finally let me out at 6:30 and I was so excited I managed to get away from my foster mom and dashed around the house. I peed a little on the front door, but she told me NO, so I dashed to the back door, then we went outside and I had a good pee. Then I was a really good boy on our walk and did my business on the lead. I also had my bath today and now I smell good, and my coat is nice and soft. Daisy showed me how to go up the stairs, and I went up and down easy peasy. I still kinda want to run after the cat, but my foster mom told me NO, so I let the cat run upstairs. I like the stuffies and I really like chewing on them. I need nice sturdy ones ‘cause I REALLY like chewing on them. I’m also learning to wait for the OK to eat my food. I REALLY like my food so I’m catching on quickly to that. That reminds me, I learned that if you put your front feet on the kitchen counter, you get a scold about that. There are so many things to learn, but I’m catching on fast!

Now I need a rest, and I like curling up in this bed with the cozy sides. Plus, it’s near where my foster mom sits on the sofa and I like being near people. I like it so much, I follow them all around the house.

Zzzzzzzz

Sunday afternoon Nov. 18

I’m a big boy! See how tall I am compared to Daisy the resident hound? Last night I chased the kitties through the kitchen until they ran upstairs and my foster mom caught me. I got a scold for that. I didn’t like being in my crate last night, even with Daisy for company. I made sad dog noises off and on all night. I’m doing great walking on the leash and did my business like a champ on the lead.

Now I have toys! I picked the orange pumpkin out myself and gave it a good shake before my nap. We all just had a walk too and I’m doing great at waiting at the open door until I get an “OK” to go out.

First night!

It’s been a busy day and I’m exhausted! I got poked and prodded, nails trimmed, rose in a van, walked down the street, ate dinner and now it’s time for a nap.

The cat was looking at me so I growled a little, but I was a good boy and stopped when I was told, and I didn’t try to get him.
