Is that a Deer?

A woman actually stopped us on our walk today and asked if I was walking a deer! 🦌 No! It’s handsome Catch! And he loves to get cozy by the fire.

Throwback Thursday

Is there anything cuter than a greyhound puppy? Answer: No. This is baby Catch as a pup!! (We were mistakenly calling him Yuma - no wonder he didn’t know his name!?)

Today’s favorite thing

Today’s favorite thing about Yuma/Catch is that he’s sooooo quiet! To me, that translates to a good nights sleep! Thanks buddy for sleeping so good in your crate all night!

What a personality!

Yuma’s personality matches his coloring. He’s a perfect mix! He has a brindle tail, a red body, and a white patch that starts as a heart around his face and covers his belly. He is part playful boy, part scaredy-cat (of barking dogs), part Velcro-dog, and all lover-boy!

He spent the work day in my office with me snoozing upside-down. And he spent his potty break sunning himself on the patio.

Learning the house rules

Yuma is learning the house rules and doing a great job! He has no problem going up and down the stairs out to the backyard. And he’s great at doing his business outside! He has yet to meet our cat but he’s great with our other male grey. Yuma also likes his crate and slept like a champ all night.

One issue we are working on is marking. Perhaps because he’s been neutered recently or just smelling our boy dog, he tries to lift his leg to mark. He corrects easily so we are confident he’ll get it. In the meantime we put a belly band on him to prevent messes.

He’s super sweet and LOVES to be pet and belly-rubbed.

I’m here!!

I’m here and as you can see I’m settled in

Yuma was fostered with Emerald Coast so transition to home life here in Nashville was a breeze. He came in. Did his business in the yard. Came in and grabbed a toy and the fun began. He is a calm eater. It took him nearly 5 minutes to eat dinner. That’s a record length of time for any foster we’ve ever had. He slept all night. Got up. Went out. Ate slowly. Laid down. How’s that for a perfect grey.
