TV Junkie

Fire is the first hound we’ve ever had in the house that shows any interest in what’s on television. Others have perked up their ears at sound but she walks up and watches when something interesting to her comes on. She stood around and watched most of the Yellowstone documentary we had on. She liked the otters but was really happy when the wolves came on.

Finally a day off!

My weekend was so crazy that I’m still sleeping in from it. I stole a piece of my foster sisters bed today. She is usually pretty protective of her space but she let me share today because I had such a busy few days. I went on my first home visit Saturday. I was very excited and spent most of the visit checking out the new surroundings. I forgot I was supposed to be showing off my personality. My friend Kayden did a great job and found his forever home. The next day was picnic day. I was on display for everyone and was hamming it up. There were lots of hugs and kisses and some visits from potential adopters.

Practice for a home visit

Here I am doing something totally scary. I’ve figured out a lot things in the last week, but stairs are not one of them. I try but I just freeze up. Foster dad bribes me with treats but even that doesn’t help a lot. I’m going a home visit tomorrow and I’m gonna keep trying this til I get it

My First Meet & Greet

I went to a thing called a meet and greet today and boy was it a lot of work. I needed a seven hour nap before bedtime to recover. I was hoping for a bigger crowd but the rain kept away some of my fans. I still had fun meeting other dogs and humans. I kept looking for a cat that I smelled but he wouldn’t come out. Everyone I met said I was very friendly and well behaved. That part of retirement is easy. Foster dad is making me learn stairs and that has been more work. I like the treats at the end but it’s pretty scary learning to go up and down.

And so it begins...

Hi there. My name is GirlsOnFire but you can just call me Fire. I used to have a gig chasing mechanical rabbits but decided to call it quits a little while ago and just took a trip to Nashville yesterday to try this thing called retirement. So far so good in my opinion. I’m eating and sleeping a lot and enjoying lots of attention. The place I’m at is cool, but thinking I want to find a place called a forever home.
