Successful M&G Day

Wow, what a great day at Meet and Greet.

Mr. Ben was pretty much in charge of me the whole time at 100 Oaks and made sure I met all the perspective adopters. But the best part is, I got a couple of car rides out of the deal.

I'm a champion rider and skilled at hoping into the back on my own. I've finally caught on to the "wait" command. When the two-leggeds use it, it means don't jump out of the car or rush out the door, even if it's open, before they tell you to. That's so different than at the track where an open door meant "go, baby, go, and catch that rabbit."

I'm liking this pet gig more and more. Especially the part where they pet me a lot. What a life!

Another Day, Another Homevisit

Man, am I pooped. I'm still shopping for a permanent home, and boy is that exhausting. I've had trouble settling down in new places. So, while I'm busy pacing around, the other dogs swoop in and snag the adopters with their winsome ways. I'm just not a winsome guy. I'm more, "Hey, let's play" or "How about a ride to Starbucks for a PupCup?" (That's an expresso cup full of whipped cream. It's free! Get one for your hound today!)

Still, I tried my best today. I figure there's someplace out there

where a guy can fit in. For now, I'll just sack out in my crate and do one of my famous yoga poses. I call this one, Too Pooped to Popasana. Try it, you'll like it!

Conquered Steps

Okay are you impressed? I'm finally able to do the steps. I've been working and working on it. My preference is to bound down them in like 3 big jumps but the four-leggeds have been trying to teach me to slow down. I think I've got it now.

Too bad I couldn't show off my new skills on the Home Visit this weekend. I was kind of hoping it would be my home, 'cause the guys were really nice, but Stylist immediately moved in on me while I was checking out the plants and my reflection in the tv screen. Darned girls. They're really sneaky like that.

Go, Tigers

I've never had a t-shirt. I'm not even sure what a t-shirt is for. I can't eat it and it's too baggy to be a racing silk. Still, I think the colors work for me. I am sort of anxious about going around with a tiger on my back.

I've been working hard on following commands like, "wait" and "stay" and "lie down" and "outside." The two-leggeds really like it when I do what they say.

It's kind of fun to give them a hard time, like when I'm supposed to jump in the car. I can do it. No problem, but it's more fun to stand there and look helpless, so they have to boost me in. Also, I like to dance around in front of my crate when they tell me to kennel up. Of course, I'm going to go in, but I want to make my two-leggeds feel like they're in charge!

Yoga Guy

This the newest yoga pose I've invented. I'm calling it Twisted Dog. It's very soothing and I employ it a lot, especially in this bed where the padded sides help out.

I'm a pretty laid back kind of guy. My goal in life is to be near my people. I employ my personal selection of yoga poses to ensure that I don't get stiff from sleeping too much.

Sure, I like a good romp with the other hounds in the house, especially early in the morning when only one two-legged is up. That way, the other person yells my name a lot. I do so love it when my people say my name.

The Eyes Have It!

It's nap time and I've just settled into the fluffiest bed in the house for a nice afternoon snooze. I hear footsteps. I ignore them, sure whoever it is — two- or four-legged — will go away. Quiet breathing. Shuffle, shuffle. Feet getting closer. I feel like I'm being stalked by a slow predator.

Gaa. Another picture for my blog. I know I'm handsome and irresistiable. I'm trying to get my beauty sleep!

Strategic Position

So, here I am in the most coveted spot in the house. Behind me is the back door, so no one can go out without my okay. In front of me is the dinner table, so if something falls on the floor, I can grab it. See the big guy standing up in the back? He's waiting for me to move so he can have this spot. Yes, competition is my middle name!

We had a busy weekend. I went on a home visit but just didn't fit in, esp. after I saw their little dog and couldn't take my eyes off of him. Hey, I'm a sighthound. Give me a break! I'm sure there's someone out there for me. I'm very lovey-dovey and like to walk and explore. I crate great and love toys and car rides. How can you resist?

Guy Meets Broccoli

Hey gang, I've moved to a new house and am trying to make a good impression. They gave me this funny green snack that they call Bokolli. The other hounds here love it and are waiting me to give up on my chunk so they can snag it.

The real problem is, I've never eaten anything green before and it's got this weird crunchy texture. I've heard that on the Outside, hounds get all kinds of things to eat. I'm pretty sure Bokolli isn't going to be on of my favorites.

Learning and Developing

Guy has learned a lot this week. He can do stairs with some guidance on the the way down. Guy was learned the correction noises and “OUT”, I would say he listens pretty well. Walks pretty well on leash. He is not a puller just wonders a bit but that is normal.

Guy is a roaching guy. He is learning stairs quickly and some basic house rules. He is an engaging dog and will be the right Guy for you.

Not a roach but worth the pic

Lots to take in!

My name is Guy (Hey There Guy) and I’m getting settled into my new home. My foster mom is babysitting Poppy so there’s a lot of energy in here! I get along with the other hounds and love exploring every corner.

I love walking around this big yard!

I am tuckered out after my long trip from Florida.
