Meet & Greet

Fuel made a ton of new hound and human friends while working the crowd yesterday.

He can't wait to bring his very own humans to Meet & Greet someday soon!

Handsome Hound

What's black and white and red all over?

Well, he's mostly white and red, but he does have a black patch on his tail and lots of pretty dark spots

Fuel is so stunningly handsome that he even stuns himself. Whenever he walks by a mirror or glass door he can't help but check out that snazzy lookin' fella staring back at him.

Here is his first bathroom mirror selfie.

Fuel will be making his Meet & Greet debut tomorrow at 100 Oaks.

Fuel is beginning to show interest in toys. He watches the resident hound's stuffy tossing hijinks with curiosity and has picked up a few of them himself. This morning he moved one of my fuzzy slippers into his crate, silly boy! He's also fond of this squeaky tennis ball dumbbell.

The Road Not Taken

Fuel prefers the path less travelled by. He's a bit uncomfortable walking on hard pavement outside, especially if it's rough or gravelly, so he moves pretty rigidly across these types of surfaces. Occasionally he will freeze up, but a little verbal encouragement will get him moving again. He's not especially food-motivated, he just needs a cheerleader.

Fuel has impeccable house manners. He does all his business outside and on-leash without hesitation, no accidents or marking inside. He doesn't counter-surf or beg when humans are eating, but will graciously and gently accept snacks when they are offered to him. He has no interest in climbing on the furniture. Fuel crates very well and is content to snooze the day away while I am at work.

Fuel is a calm, sweet boy and he will be a wonderful addition to his forever family.

Room Service

Fuel is served meals in his crate. This arrangement allows for a seamless transition from meal time to nap time. What more could a greyhound hope for?

As soon as he swallows the last bite, he is out cold.

Welcome to Nashville Fuel

After all the excitement of his journey to Nashville yesterday, Fuel is enjoying some downtime to reFuel, if you will.

So far he's settling in nicely, following the house rules, and getting along perfectly with the resident hound.
