A Cold, Wet, & Rainy Day Can’t Stop Us!

The human took me to Home Depot, Acadmeny Sports, and Pet smart to help me get my exercise for the day! She said I behaved so well so I got a new toy at Pet Smart! It tastes delicious! Such a busy day has me exhausted. Time to nap the day away.

Missing my Usual Humans

The humans brought me somewhere new today. My usual humans were busy last minute, so I’m with this new human for a bit. Although I was a bit anxious at first, I finally got comfortable and enjoyed all the head rubs. I can’t wait to do some more exploring around here tomorrow!

Fall Fun

The humans took me on a nice long walk yesterday. It was pretty chilly, but they gave me this nice big coat and I stayed nice and warm.

We walked by some water, and I saw some very interesting honky things that I really wanted to go meet.

Cold weather preparedness

Since the weather has gotten cooler, Doc has learned how nice blankets and jammies are for staying warm!

Ahhh, so cozy!

Sparkly clean!

The humans gave me a bath this week. Baths are not one of my favorite things to do, but the humans said I was very good.

Thunderstorms? Fireworks? No problem!

As he does with most things, Doc just takes potentially scary thunderstorms and fireworks in stride. This picture was taken last night when all of our neighbors were shooting off fireworks. Even during earlier potty trips outside, he didn't seem to notice the intermittent firecrackers.

Weekend Explorations

I went to 100 Oaks Meet and Greet this Saturday. I saw all my greyhound friends, and I got lots of attention from the people!

The humans took me to Home Depot on Sunday, and they said I was very well behaved.

The humans say I am a very good car rider. They opened the window on the way home, and that was very exciting. So many interesting smells!

Now it's time for some relaxation after all that activity!

Simple Needs

No fussiness here - the floor is just fine! (Even though 3 dog beds are within 10 feet of this spot!)

Doc is so easy-going. He's very content with anything.

All Doc needs is lots of love!

Doc is a big roacher, but he often falls over and ends up in funny positions like this.

"Hey! Hi! What are you doing in there, human?"

Doc is very curious, and is always interested in everything that is going on.

Doc is doing really well learning about retirement. He eliminates on lead, and he does not pull or mark on walks. He has had zero accidents in the house. He has learned not to try to run out the door every time it opens. For meals, he is always very excited, but he runs right into his crate to wait for his food. He crates well, and does just fine while we are gone. He is still learning to be calm when greeting someone at the door, but he has gotten much better. (he sometimes jumps) Furniture does not seem to be of interest to Doc - he is content with whatever dog beds are available.

Overall, Doc is just a big goofy, happy boy who loves people(and squeaky toys!).

Settling In

Doc has been settling in very well. He has discovered the fun of the stuffy bin, and the excitement of dinnertime.

He is already a pro at napping.

He has great leash manners. No pulling!

He even made a very brief appearance as the Easter Bunny.
