A new friend

I am watching Corra for the weekend and she has made a new friend. He is about 7 months old and he loves Corra and she is not bothered by him at all. Earlier she was letting him lick her face.

Not really sure about all this white stuff coming down

Friday December 15, 2017

Today is Corra’s 3rd birthday!

The celebration kicked off yesterday with great news at her doctors appointment.

Corra had surgery a few weeks ago to modify the area of bone that was left behind when her leg was removed. Since then she has been resting and taking it easy while she heals up. That part is never fun, but Corra never complained once. She has proven herself to be a real trooper and a great sport!

Yesterday the doctor checked her over, declared that she is perfect (we already knew that!) and removed her stitches. Yay!

Afterwards she went to freshen up at Wags and Whiskers. Bath time was not Corra’s favorite, but she looks and feels holiday-ready now.

Corra is very excited to continue her birthday celebration tomorrow with her friends at the 100 Oaks Meet and Greet! See you there!

I can fly !

Well not for very long but I can certainly get airborne. Here I am playing with my foster brother. He's still pretty fast for an old guy but can't keep up with a 2 year old. My foster dad has to calm me down every once in awhile because I get too excited playing and can bump where my leg used to be. It's still a little tender and he said I'd scuff it up if I landed on it.

Watch me run

75% of the legs. 110% of the sweetness.

Corra is settling into retirement with no issues so far. She loves crashing out on a slumber ball and has started to show interest in stuffies. Gets along well with the resident hounds but definitely wants to be the center of attention. She even manages the stairs to the deck pretty well. Once she starts to run you'd never think she was missing a leg. Will try to post a video of her running soon.

Long day for this sweet girl

Hi everyone. My name is Corra and I just moved to Nashville today. I came up with a bunch of friends from Florida but after we got off our bus I decided to head off on my own in search of a forever home. Right now I'm camped out at house owned by two other greyhounds that are tended to by some humans. It's a good crash pad but I think I'd rather find my own place. So far everyone's saying I'm a sweetheart and is surprised how well I get around with just 3 legs. I'll be staying in touch with y'all until I find my new home.
