TV is my favorite!

I recently discovered a channel on my foster parents' TV called Animal Planet. I could watch this stuff for hours! They sometimes laugh at me because I apparently make super serious faces when I hear all of the exotic animal noises, but I'm not ashamed. Hi, my name is Kellow and I have a TV problem.

I'm Feeling Better!

To all my fans: I know I've been MIA for the past week, so I thought you'd like an update. I decided it might be nice to taste some new things at my foster house, so I ate some medical tape and a bandage. It wasn't delicious and it made my tummy hurt for a few days. I had to go back to that nice doctor place to make sure everything was "moving" along like it should and I had a few days of eating boiled chicken and rice as a result. (That part was ok by me.) But now things are back to normal and I'm feeling like my old self again!! Look how cute I am. :)

Crate Days

Hi, my name is Kellow and I stayed in my crate for a 10-hour work day today! I had zero issues, was happy when my foster mom got home, and did my potty thing outside as soon as I was let out. See that proud grin on my face?! Yeah, I'm a super good boy...

Sleepy Cowboy

I had a super fun day yesterday meeting lots of people around town. I had so much fun that I've been sleeping ever since I got home last night! Being fabulous is hard work.

Dog on the go!

My foster mom had to get something out of her car (in the closed garage) today, and I decided I like hanging out in there too. No car issues here!!

Sweet, snuggly Kellow

Kellow was definitely a sweet dog when he first arrived at our house, but he is getting so much sweeter the longer he is here. We often get soft "paws" when he is laying on the floor next to us, and he has discovered he can roach into a baby/cradle snuggle with our daughter for the ultimate in sweet together time. He is definitely going to make someone a very loving companion.

Sweater Weather

My foster mom said it's too cold and wet outside to walk without a sweater. I chose this Harvard-style number for today's stroll. All the ladies loved me. You may now refer to me as Prof. Kellow.

Who is that handsome Kellow?!

They say one of the hardest things for retired racers to learn is how to deal with glass doors. But I'm so pretty I've never been confused--I could never run into that handsome beast in the reflection. Also, my eyebrows are on point.

Big weekend fun!

I had a big weekend! My foster parents went out of town, so I got to stay in a new house with a new greyhound friend who I thought was funny and cute. She shared her toys with me and we even traded beds in the night without any aggression. I also got to go to TWO meet & greets and meet tons of new friends. This is a picture of me riding back to my foster parents' house where I plan to snooze all week to make up for my weekend adventure.

My crate!

My foster mom was cleaning crates today, so I gathered all of the cushy things and decided to hang out in mine. This retirement thing is pretty nice!

Snug as a bug in a rug.

This amazing weather means I get to go outside more and get tucked in all snuggly at night. And my foster parents let me eat some pumpkin treats to celebrate the change of seasons. I think I may love fall!

Labor Day?!

My foster family is celebrating something called Labor Day, but I'm celebrating all the belly rubs. As a side note, I learned really fast that flopping on my back like this gets me tons of love, so I spend the majority of my day practicing.

I spend the rest of my days looking for the food and snoozing. My foster family wanted to let you know there's no need to worry about this picture--the bag was empty and they thought I'd like to sniff it out to make sure we didn't miss any.

Hey Gurrrl.

Kellow Gosling says he's excited to meet his fans at 100 Oaks today. And also, he's looking for that special someone to snuggle his way through fall.

Rain Rain Go Away

It's raining out but I'm still being a good boy and taking care of potty business like a champ! Since my foster mom thinks it's weird to post pics of that, she decided I should take this moment to show off my cute raccoon tail instead. Look how cute my face and my tail are!! If you want to see them in person, come visit me tomorrow at the 100 Oaks Pet Smart Meet & Greet. :)

I'm learning fast that counter surfing isn't cool and it's best to just stare intently and make cute faces at what I want and I'll probably get it!

Sometimes when I'm sleeping really good, one of my teeth creeps out. I'm really liking this retirement thing! Eat, sleep, play and all of the rubs! :-)

Sharing is Caring

My foster home came equipped with a brother who I am learning lots of things from. One of those things is crate space. I'm cool with the crate--that's where the food usually comes from--and I even sometimes sneak in behind my brother to share his bed and toys.

Feeling Better!

I'm really happy my foster parents took me to the vet and got me some pain killers and antibiotics to help with my mouth problems! It's looking way better and I'm feeling a lot better too. I've been drinking lots of water and eating lots of yummy food. My foster family keeps telling me how good and calm I am.

The medicine can make me feel sort of funny but I haven't let that keep me from standing at the door and letting my foster family know when I need to go out to take care of business. And when I get outside, I get right down to business.

I'm getting along great with my new friend Archie even though he's sort of crazy. Here I am staring at him.

Last night, on my walk, I saw a kitty and thought it would be fun to chase after it. My foster dad said, "no!" I wanted to go after it, but I figured I had better listen so I just kept walking. The leash thing is new to me, but it comes naturally.

I'm loving the retirement life! Last night, I roached for a few seconds but lost my balance and just plopped over to the side. :-)

Thursday August 24, 2017

We noticed some swelling in Kellow's mouth last night and ended up taking him to the vet. He has a ranula (swollen salivary duct) and is in some pain. He was such a sweet boy at the vet, letting them inspect his mouth and relaxing while they gave him some IV meds. When we got home, he slept really well all night in his crate and had a nice walk this morning. Send all the happy vibes for him to feel better soon!

They call me Mellow Kellow

It's my first night in my foster home, and I'm feeling a little confused, but I went for a walk through the new 'hood and my foster mom said I even did better on lead than my foster brother!

After my walk and potty, I explored my foster house and amazed my foster family by walking around on the hardwood floors without any drama and even going up and down the stairs. Naturally, going down took me a little longer, but I touched all four feet on every tread and didn't complain once.

I have really been wanting to go into my crate, but it's a little too short for my tall back, so my foster mom said we will get a bigger one and try again tomorrow. We're all getting settled in for bed--I'll report back tomorrow about how I sleep and deal with potty stuff through the night.
