My First Week - Wow, What A Week!

Hey everybody! Capo here!

I've been in Nashville for a week, and what a week it has been! I've learned a lot about living in a house, and my foster parents say they are very proud of me because I only growled once (when I got stepped on), and I haven't had any "accidents" (whatever that is).

After a few days, I discovered toys. I LOVE them! Especially the ones that squeak. So far, I'm being pretty responsible with the toys; have not torn any up yet.

This past weekend, I went to 2 meet and greets. At first, I thought they meant "MEAT". But, I was still excited to be there because I got to see a LOT of greyhounds, including 3 others that came in the same time I did (Ming, Cyrus, and Couple).

I have to tell you, meeting and greeting is really hard work. When I got home, I just had to take a nice long nap.

I'll be at more meet and greets soon. Keep an eye on the calendar at the gpanashville.org home page, and you'll see where I'll be. I hope to meet you, because one of you out there will give me my forever home!

Retirement is GREAT!

Hey everybody! Capo here!

I am REALLY enjoying this retirement gig. Please tell me this is how life will be from now on!!

In the morning, I wake up, go potty, get fed, sleep, wake up to go potty, sleep, get fed, sleep, wake up to go potty, get a treat, go to bed. What a life!!

Some things I'm still learning. Like how to sleep on a bed and keep all of my body on the bed.

I'm really warming up to my foster parents. I've learned that if I go to them, they will scratch and rub me. Wow.

So, I plan to be at the 100 Oaks meet and greet this Saturday (August 12). I hope to get to meet some of my fans there!

Hey Nashville!

Hey everybody! Capo here! Capo? What kind of name is that? Well, my racing name was Turbo Scapolite, so someone shortened it to "Capo". It's pronounced "Cap - O" (short a, long o).

I just arrived in Nashville yesterday, and it's my first time in a house. My foster parents are telling me how to behave in a house. I'm figuring out most of it pretty quickly, but some things I still need to work on.

I'm a curious and happy guy. As you can see, when I'm out and about, my tail stands up and curls toward the front!

I'm in a foster home with 2 other greyhounds and a beagle. We all had to sniff each other a lot at first, but no one growled or snapped. My foster parents said "Good boy!"

I'm just in this foster home until someone reading this blog decides they have my forever home. I hope to find my forever family soon!!
