Getting a little sun with his friends

He landed on the towel in this pic, but he also lays on the dog bed or the deck itself, depending on availability and his mood.

Who needs a dog bed?

Nemo loves to stretch out!

Another bed fail? Maybe not.

I'm beginning to think this isn't a bed fail at all, but rather a carefully orchestrated attempt to get support where he needs it, and cushion where he doesn't. Happens every day.

Ladies man

"What's that you say? You like my spots? Thanks, doll!"

"Sure, I'll pose for a pic. How's this?"

He was like that when I got here!

I didn't do it, says the resident hound. Another example of Nemo plopping down whenever the mood strikes him. He is settling in to his new foster home nicely. He is becoming more comfortable with letting us out of his sight and staying in a room by himself. Last night we retired to the bedroom and Nemo didn't get up from his bed in the living room. He slept alone out there for about an hour and then made his way into the bedroom. He's something of a velcro dog, but he's not obnoxious about it. He's a very loving, easygoing guy.

Another bed fail

Nemo doesn't mind. All of the bed, some of the bed, no bed at all...whatever. It's the relaxing that's important!

A few notes on Nemo

Tuesday April 18, 2017

Warning:NSFW (Just kidding!)

When you welcome Nemo into your life, your whole view of the world changes. This is his standard tv watching pose.

Say cheese!

All curled up

Nothing to see here

We have grown quite fond of his goofy, awkward sleeping poses. If you are looking for a cuddle buddy who gives big kisses, you've found your boy!!!

Typical greyhound bed fail. You've got a huge blanket and your head still sticks off of the side. Nemo did not like being outside very much when he first came here. He would do his business and head straight back to the couch. I think he just doesn't like to lay on the grass. Since I put this picnic blanket down for him, he will sit outside with me for about an hour every morning or evening. Despite being a tripod, he also enjoys a good sprinting lap or two around the yard every morning. It's fun to see him run!

Say hi to Nemo!

Nemo came to stay with us just a few days ago. Unfortunately, he had some issues with another dog in his old home and was on the losing end of a fight. His family felt that it was the safest thing for Nemo if he were placed in another home. His battle scars are healing quite nicely and he just finished the last of his medication today. Nemo is quite a young dog so he takes all of these new changes in stride. He has already made himself right at home in our house, claiming a dog bed and a spot on the couch. We know, we know, fosters aren't supposed to be on the furniture, but he is just too sweet to argue with sometimes. Nemo is an excellent eater (What greyhound isn't?) and has been easy to medicate. He will do his business on a leash with no problems. He sleeps through the night but usually starts whining between 7 - 8 in the morning if the household hasn't started stirring yet. We think this is more of a 'come play with me' whine than an actual need. Nemo just loves attention and affection and can't wait to find a new forever home to claim as his own!
