Best

Best Man
Best Man came into our program at the beginning of May from West Memphis where he broke his leg on the racetrack. The injury has been repaired and he's now recovering from the surgery. Though he won't be available for adoption until his injury is completely healed and he's cleared by the vet, watch here for more information about Best Man when he gets to his foster family.

cap

Cap
Cap is a true Southern gentleman. Inside he is calm and loving, getting along with the resident greys in his foster home but outside he loves to romp and play with them. He loves squeaky toys and tug-o-war ropes. His housebreaking is perfect with no accidents and he loves to ride in the car. Cap does fine on hardwood floors and walks like a pro on lead. He can be a little shy of men, but warms up quickly. Cap has learned "Stay" and is working on "Sit." He crates well, and is a good eater.

Debra is a real sweetheart who gets along fine with the resident greys and cat in her foster home. She sleeps and eats greyt and generally crates fine. Debra will do her business on lead and walks without pulling for the most part. She has mastered the few stairs in her foster home and has discovered the joy of stuffies throwing them in the air and collecting them in her crate. Debra has had a few potty issues but is working hard to correct them.

Emmy
Emmy is a greyt little girl who gets along fine with the greys and cats in her foster home. She has not met small dogs or children yet but will most like be fine. Emmy eats like a lady taking her time and has had NO house breaking issues. Emmy does her business and walks on lead without pulling. She has mastered the few steps she’s encountered and rides fine in the car. Emmy does not like other dogs to rush her or come up from behind for sniffing, so she may not be the best dog for M&G’s; however, she has had no problems with this in a home setting.

Gypsy is just too cute. She crates well, loves her food and sleeps through the night most of the time. She has had just a few accidents but is improving. She will do her business on lead and has learned stairs. She does fine riding in a car and is working on her leash walking skills so not to pull. Gypsy is a fun loving, very curious and loves to collect things and take them to her bed. Gypsy responds well to "No" and is very easily trained. She loves stuffies, ears rubs and following you around. And, she is a grinner.

kesley

Kesley
Kelsey is a nice dog, that broke her leg on the racetrack and GPA/N paid for her to see the orthopedic specialist. As with most recovered surgical dogs, she is recommended for a home without children that are likely to "test" her. Her injury will have little to no bearing on her ability to live a normal pet life. She is just as loving, quirky and fun girl that needs a place to call home.

melody

Melody
Melody is a very sweet girl with a big heart. She is a somewhat picky eater but loves soft treats and sliced turkey. She crates OK but likes to rearrange her bedding and likes to sleep till at least 7 AM. She has an old, right hock fracture but it doesn’t seem to affect her activity as she runs and does stairs. Melody has lived with cats in the past but has shown some interest so will most likely need a “kitty no no” refresher class.  Melody rides fine.

rocks

Rocks
Rocks came into our program at the beginning of May from West Memphis where she broke her leg on the racetrack. According to all who have laid hands on this little girl, she is darn near perfect. She’s house broken, crates ok once inside, eats good and is very affection. Rocks had a very serious leg break and will do best in a home with few to no steps and older kids. Rocks will do her business on lead and rides fine in a van. Rocks did greyt at her first M&G and was fine with the kids and small animals there including a guinea pig.

shelton

Shelton
Shelton is a gorgeous and happy go lucky guy. He eats and crates well and has learned the stairs in his foster home. He gets along well with the resident greys in his foster home and does his business outside. Shelton was fine with the children he met at M & G and seemed to ignore the small dogs as well. At the present, we are unsure of his cat safeness.

He eats greyt, does stairs like a champ and has had no accidents in the house. Slator walks well on lead and will do his business on and off. He does not crate well and will do best with someone who is home most of the time. Slator loves stuffies and is learning to “fetch.”

zippy

Zipsea
Zipsea is a very sweet affectionate girl who thinks nothing is cuter than her refection in a mirror. Zipsea is by NO means cat safe and most likely will not be small animal safe either. She is a perfect foster according to her foster family; they even bought her a full length mirror so she can view all her beauty. Zipsea crates greyt, eats well and gets along fine with all the resident hounds at her foster home. Zipsea will groan when her ears are rubbed and will give grey kisses.
